Recently, Peter Church was hired as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Avangrid Inc. utility based in Orange.
Church will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies to support the overall business plan of the company and the organization’s strategic direction. He previously worked for UnitedHealthcare as chief talent officer. He was there to create, lead, and drive talent strategies to ensure the continued and successful attraction, development, and engagement of a world-class workforce. Church has 20 years of experience in human resources in companies such as Hartford, Aetna, and United Technologies. He was awarded a Bachelor and Master’s degree from Hartford University with a major in psychology. Also, he is a member of the National Council of Leaders with RAINN, the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the country.
The company expects that Church will further strengthen the company brand and culture as with a strong balance of practical HR process experience and a broad picture of workplace culture and employer brand.
