FREMONT, CA: Technology solution provider incentivizing smart mobility decisions, Hytch Rewards announced a new feature for its mobile app, Shelter in Place. The feature is designed to encourage behavior that will limit the spread of COVID-19. Shelter in Place will pay daily cash rewards to the U.S. residents who are self-quarantined at home. With an increasing number of states issuing recommendations and legal orders for citizens to stay indoors, the Hytch platform will give employers and governments more exceptional ability to confirm and manage compliance in a more positive way. Under the Shelter in Place feature, employees can offer rewards to encourage employees to engage in safe and healthy habits that benefit themselves, their family, their team and community. It also aims to ease the financial burden of being furloughed or having to telework and ensures that work-from-home team members actually are at home. Apart from the various benefits for the users, the new feature will also aid the cause to increase awareness amongst the public on the need to stay indoors. The virus which still has no cure can be overcome only if the spread is restricted as early as possible. The current figures in the U.S, have already risen exponentially over the last month. Hytch Rewards' concept of rewarding citizens is a new approach that could have a significant impact on the attitude of the citizens towards the crisis.

The app is primarily used to reward commuter behavior for helping reduce traffic congestion and emissions, or to encourage carpooling in areas with limited public transit.
