IBM to Provide Cloud Orchestration Support to Anthem

ARMONK, NY: IBM announces a strategic technology services agreement with managed health care services provider, Anthem. With this agreement IBM privileges Anthem with cloud orchestration capabilities. The cloud orchestration will support Anthem to integrate cloud infrastructure, off-premise, and on-premise, into its existing data center environment.  

According to this agreement, IBM will provide operational services support to anthem’s data centre server, mainframe and storage infrastructure for five years. This agreement helps in accelerating operational performance of Anthem’s technology infrastructure and it also supports the need for better business solutions. “IBM and Anthem have a rich history of collaboration in applying robust technology services to improve health care processes and quality,” says Philip Guido, General Manager, IBM Global Technology Services.

During the contract period Anthem will also be privileged with IBM Cloud solution support. This agreement allows Anthem to take a step closer to better technology infrastructure. According to Tom Miller, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Anthem, their partnership with IBM will help them with the infrastructure and IT capabilities they need, to respond rapidly to market demands, launch new products for plan members and deliver on Anthem’s mission to transform health care with trusted and caring solutions.
